The aster plant is a flowering plant best suited for outdoor growing, valued for its daisy-like blooms that appear in late summer to fall and attract pollinators like butterflies and bees. In Kuwait’s hot climate they can be grown successfully as seasonal winter plants outdoors or in containers, planted in late autumn and enjoyed through spring before extreme heat sets in.
Most garden asters grow to about 30–120 cm tall and 30–60 cm wide, depending on the variety, and they typically grow 20–40 cm per year during their active season.
Asters can be grown in pots, which is actually recommended in Kuwait so they can be moved to partial shade and protected from intense sun. In suitable climates, asters live about 3–5 years
