Adenium is also commonly known as the Desert Rose, and is a succulent shrub. Adenium can be grown both indoors and outdoors, but it performs best outdoors in full sun and warm conditions; when grown indoors, it must be placed in a very bright, sunny location.
It can be easily grown in pots and is actually preferred as a pot plant, as potting helps control its size and reduces the risk of root rot when using well draining soil.
In pots, it usually grows to about 30–90 cm tall, while plants grown in the ground can eventually reach 1.5–3 meters over many years. Well maintained Adenium‘s can live for 50 years.
